HDMI? If i connect my laptop to tv via hdmi will the tv get audio?

  1. Hi,

    Yes, only if your laptop has got HDMI output and your tv has got HDMI input. If your laptop has got DVI then you wont get sound and you'll have to connect line out from the laptom to the line in on the tv.

    So HDMI carries both audio and video. DVI carries just video. DVI to HDMI converter cable will not carry audio and also HDMI to DVI cable will not carry any audio.
