I have a 26" Ilo brand TV. For use with my computer the DVI works fine, but when I try to plug in my HDMI cable box or HDMI DVD player to the DVI outlet, the TV is not able to pick up a signal. Is this because it's the wrong type of DVI or something like that?If it helps, the computer is a G4 Powerbook, while the cable box is a Scientific Atlantic Explorer 8300HD and the DVD player is part of a Samsung HT-Q70 home theater system. Thanks for your help.when i hook my dvd player to my tv through the hdmi cable it doesnt pick up a signal and it will play the dvd for a second and then it goes to blu screen and the to the movie and it continues to repeat this cycle. i bought a new hdmi cable thing that was my problem and updated the software on my tv but it still does it what is wrong with my setup?
