If I use a 3 or 5 port HDMI spiltter, will my digital home theatre and my digital cable box have high-def. cabablities while watching a HBO, Showtime, etc. movie? I have one HDMI port on my television with digital cable and home theatre. (Both using HDMI) Thanks!

  1. Someone suggested a plce where you can buy one for $40. Do a search for HDMI splitter.

This is one site, but not the one that looks like the best deal:

  2. First - you dont mean a splitter, you mean a switch.

Why do you think you need a switch when you only have 1 source - the digital cable box?

Second - you dont automatically get High Def channels by plugging in a HDMI cable.  Your cable box has to be a HD box and you have to be subscribed to a package that includes HD stations.

Call your cable company about this upgrade to a HD box.

  3. there is a hdmi switch which allow you to plug all your components but only use once simultaneously.
