Question:

HDTV Channels through Basic Cable Service?

I recently bought an Sharpe HDTV. I plugged the basic Comcast cable service we had and was able to view the analog channels and some digital channels.

What will I need to do in order to receive the local digital channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, etc? I have CMT in digital and radio stations. I bought a HD antenna, but that did not work because I only have one plugg for antenna/cable. I don't mind the analog channels, but if I can see them in the digital, it is much clearer. Help!

  1. You could purchase a digital tuner or digital receiver such as this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;...

This device will receive your over-the-air local digital channels from your antenna and output the programing over an HDMI cable to your Sharp HDTV. Now you could watch both your local digital channels from your antenna and your basic cable service.
