Question:

HDTV Gaming Lag..?

I just bought a new mini Sanyo HDTV, and it works great for videos, satellite, cable, etc.

But gaming is a whole different story. Every single game I try has a terrible video-control lag. For example, I might press A in Mario, and it takes half a second or so until he jumps. This goes for every console I've tried on it as well.

This makes the game practically impossible to play. Games like guitar hero are just a joke on this TV - Even the in-game "calibrate lag" function doesn't change a thing.

How do I fix this??? The Menu for the TV has nothing concerning lag, and neither do the games I'm playing. Is there any type of accessory which will eliminate this lag?

Thanks :)

  1. That's exactly what you need to be messing with is the calibrate lag functions, however, there typically is one on your TV as well.

Does your TV have a firmware update port? Make sure the TV is up to speed on the latest firmware if this is the case.

Check the manual for HD calibration, Lag calibration, ect.

Sounds like your on the right track.

The included link gets into a more detailed discussion on why this actually happens and may lead to a fix for you.
