HDTV - Possible to use two inputs at same time? (Video/Sound)

I have an HDTV with a RGB IN (PC) input. That is the input like a PC monitor's input. It's used for connecting your PC to your HDTV, except i'm using it for my Xbox 360. I bought these cords called VGA cables. It has the PC input, and it has the White, and Yellow composite attached on.

My problem is when I set the input to RGB (PC) on my HDTV, I get good picture, but my White and Red cords are plugged into AV 1 (or any other red and white ports) I can only get picture, and no sound because it's set on RGB PC.

Is there anyway I can set it to two inputs at the same time? It's an LG

  1. If your HDTV supports the audio for the PC input (many do not) it will not be in the form of a pair of RCA jacks.  Instead it will be in the form of a 3.5 mm stereo input plug jack, (think headphone jack on an MP3 player), almost all computers these days have a 3.5mm jack for their audio out so you will probably need a 3.5mm to a 3.5mm stereo cable much like you would use to hook up an MP3 player to a stereo system with an AUX in that did not use RCA jacks.  Because you are hooking this up to an Xbox  you will need to go from RCA's to 3.5mm stereo, and you should be able to find the proper cable at any decent electronics store or electronics department in someplace like Wal-Mart.

  2. You probably found the right R/W audio ports, or your set allowed you to assign one of the audio inputs to the PC input.
