HDTV TURNER NOT WORKING

Question

I have the TV set up with Direct TV and play it through the HDMI TO recive HD programming, my problem is when I turn the TV to DTV the screen is blank and when I press the menu button the menu for DTV does not appear the only thing I get on the screen is the volume bar. Is this a problem that I can repair myself by changing the main board or another board on the TV
