HDTV? Worth it or no?

I know it looks much better, I ve' seen it, from my parents house. But after spending the money to get theTV, plus the extra charges to receive the channels, is it worth the difference? Yes or No and Why?

  1. Definitely worth it. The performance is simply superb in HD TV. Compare the performance of a same programme - side by side - with an analog TV and HD TV. You can note the difference.


  2. Yes, for the most part.

    Certain programming is immensely better with HDTV. For my husband that would be sports. Honestly, I have to agree you can see so much more detail in a football game.

    For me, I love seeing the award shows (Academy Awards, etc) in HDTV because you can see so much more detail in the ladies dresses. I also appreciate HDTV when I'm watching a costume piece like Showtime's 'The Tudors'.

    For everyday broadcasting HDTV is a luxury that is nice but I agree it's expensive. See what your budget allows.

  3. well if your from the UK you van get sky HD which give you all most all the channels,but if you live in America you have to get cable but still Hd TVs i think are well worth it getting and you can see through hd channels but i would go for it.
