HDTV & Xbox 360 Problems?

Question

I'm trying to hook up my xbox 360 to a 32" HDTV. We just got the TV from my aunt, she didnt want it anymore. It's only like 4 years old. Anyway when I plug in the Y,Pb,Pr (Green, Blue, Red) in the back of the tv and the red/white Audio cords..my componet screen is black and white and it goes double. In other words it isnt playable. I'm hoping there is some catch, because I would hate for this one lone jack on this tv to be messed up. Any help or suggestions? Thanks

I am pretty sure you have to go out and buy an hd adapter for the xbox 360. They should be around 20-40 dollars

Given the new info, the only thing I can think of (short of a problem inside the tv) is that your on the wrong input. Sorry I can't be of more help

this may be stupid and youve alreadt done it but theirs a switch on end of cable 4 sd & hd dose it work with just yellow input?
