I, have an emachines HD monitor. I also have a symphonic non- hd tv. And I have an HDTV at&t cable box with HD cable. If I plug my cable box into the computer, can I watch HDTV.

Also will this work with DVD'S

  1. Does your monitor have DVI input? Does your AT&T cable box has DVI or HDMI output? If so, you can get a cable from monoprice.com and connect cable box directly to your monitor. However, you can not connect it to your computer unless your computer has video capture card.

    You will also need to plugin amp/speakers to audio out in your cable box. It maybe easier to just get an HDTV.


  2. Whether you can watch HD on your computer depends on whether, and what type, of video capture or tuner card you have in or attached to the computer.
