HDTV ps3 question please?

if i have a ps3 and i just bought an hdtv and want to play my games in hd do i have to pay for hd service or do i just buy an hdmi cable and it will come in hd?

  1. You don't pay for HD for your PS3. You pay for some television channels to be able to view them in HD. Anyways, you can buy an HDMI or Component Cables to play your PS3 in HD. Whichever you choose (Component or HDMI) you have to make sure your television supports them and then you have to change the settings on your PS3 and television in order to play in HD. To change the settings on your PS3 to whichever you decide to use, if you don't already know: Go to Settings> Display> then choose whichever you are going to use. When you switch to HDMI or Component the screen will go black until you switch your television to the HDMI or Component channel. If you don't switch the screen, the screen will stay black for 30 seconds then the picture will come back up. Hope this helps. Sorry it's so long.


  2. Just get yourself a hdmi cable and re-configure your settings through the playstation to best suit that telly.
