HEADBOARD MADE OUT OF PAPER?

Hello! Need a quick headboard. Well maybe, instant headboard under $50. I am looking for a vinyl wall sticker headboard (big sticker) for an adult chic vintage bedroom decorated with touches of damask. I know that I could probably get a headboard from a thrift shop, but I'd love to get the chance to see if the stickers or decals or murals have a realistic look.

I'm also open to ideas or projects that consist of printing out images from my home computer.

BASICALLY I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN ACHIEVE A REALISTIC STYLISH HEADBOARD USING PAPER OR STICKERS.

Looking forward to your great answers !!!!!!!

  1. Instead of sticking it to your walls, I'd get a large cardboard box from an appliance store to cut out my headboard shape.  You could either paint it or use contact paper to cover it.  I would paint it, then mark where I'd put large buttons.  From where a button would go, I'd paint freeform lines radiating out from these spot about two to four inches.  Make them random.  Cut out large rounds from lightweight cardboard, poke two holes in each and run a pipe cleaner or wire from front to back, cover the front side with cotton batting, and cover with a piece of fabric that compliments your headboard color.  Poke two holes on your headboard where your buttons will go, push the wires through and tighten on the back.

They even have wood tone paint and a comb type instrument to create wood grain look.  Most items available at hardware or home improvement stores.
