  1. OK so yeah, I would like to be completely frank with you as no other medical pro will (lemme qit real wit u, in your stupid ghetto wannabe slang):

You're stupid. And stupid means willfully ignorant. You knew for several days that something was wrong. You delayed treatment until you can't bear the pain anymore, so now you're going to drop by the ER on a weekend. You could have gone to the Rockdale County Health Center during the week!

So now rather than paying a small fee at RCHC and a cheap antibiotic prescription filled at Kroger/Wal-Mart, you're going to get treated at the ER and not pay anything. But guess what? It isn't really free, because the cost of your stupid delay passes on to everyone else.

On another question you wrote: DUE TO THE FACT I HAVE NO HEALTH COVERAGE...WELL WHO TF DOES? ... ITS 2 XPENSIVE

That's a load of c**p! You're 19 years old and I assume you're working. I assume your mother is working. There's no excuse for you not to have health insurance.

Oh, by the way, what's your plan for when you get sick once you're living with your thug boyfriend in the Bronx and bumping nasties all the time? You think he's mature enough, caring enough, or loyal enough to care for you when you're sick (or *shhh!* unexpectedly pregnant)?

Girl, get real! Learn to write like you have a brain, then put it to work. Don't end up like your mother. 'Cause that's where you're headed.

  2. Going to the ER is always the more expensive route.  I didn't have insurance a few years ago as a college student and I payed close to $2,000 dollars for them to tell me what I already knew.

Sometimes you can find a doctor with a sliding fee scale.  Meaning depending upon your income, you can get the same services for less.  Simply ask the doctor you would like to see.  The labs for the pap smear will be the most expensive, but sometimes your doctor knows which lab to send them to so you don't receive high medical bills..

It's all about talking to your doctor.

  3. depends on the hospital your going to. Just call them up and ask.

  4. depends on the state, town and the er involved i would say a low guess would be Three thousand dollars

last time my husband was at the ER the bill was almost five thousand and they basically did nothing but hand him a scrip for pain pills and shove him out the door, so we took him to a different ER and the bill was almost eighty thousand but that was with him getting actual test and treatments done
