HEEELP PLEASE maplestory won't download onto my computer!! =(?

Question

i downloaded maplestory onto my laptop, but everytime i try to open it , it says " failed to initialize nProtect KeyCrypt (5) "

I've tried unintalling and reinstalling it over and over again but theres no difference!!!

IM SO FUSTRATED, PLEASE HEEEELP

First thing I'd try is remove all traces of maplestory from your computer. Sometimes a failed installation leaves behind file fragments (called orphan files) that can keep the program from installing.

Click start > control panel > double click the add/remove icon. Scroll through your list of installed programs.  If you see maplestory click on the change/remove option and follow the prompts. You should also check your main menu.  Click start > all programs and look for maplestory. If you see it, right-click and you should see an uninstall option.

You should also do and advanced search of all files and folders. Click start > search > all files and folders. Type in maplestory, look in Drive C, and click on more advanced options.  Check mark the first three items (search system folders, hidden files/folders, and subfolders.) Run teh search and delete any mention of maplestory in the right panel.

Now you can try downloading it again. Temporarily disable your antivirus program. Installing software makes changes to the hard drive and registry.  So do viruses and sometimes an antivirus program can't tell the difference and it will block a clean install.

If you still can't install maplestory, I'd suggest contacting tech support by clicking on the FAQ and selecting technical support.
