HELLLPp! 10 points for original good answers! My Sweet Sixteen in your hands!?

Helllp!!Which one do you like more for my 16th birthday party!!!! Please…add to my ideas. there is about 12 girls.

Idea 1:

1. Theme: s*x and the city “sixteen and the city”

2. invites: evites or http://www.polkadotdesign.com/catalog/Bonnie_Marcus_Collection/BSP-LOI

3. invites will say: You must wear the most fabulous pair of shoes you have.

3. Drinks: Virgin Cosmos, Virgin Manhattans, Virgin Absolute Hunks

4. Dessert: Dessert buffet with various desserts including cupcakes

5. decorations- I haven’t decided the colors yet, (please not pink and black) but balloons and I don’t want streamers but maybe shopping bags from expensive stores.

3. Overall plan: I need an overall plan

6. Overall Plan: have the guest meet me at the waterfront then when they all arrive go to the yacht, everyone get virgin cocktails, then we lay out in the sun then (need help from here)

i like the whole yatch thing but i think the drinks from the first one would go good on the yatch too. As for deserts maybe like a chocolate fountain? um for decorations you can do like a theme type thing one of my friends had hers at this nice hall and it was like a night in paris with like eifle tower center pieces and scrap book pages on the tables for everyone to write on. just some suggestions being 16 myself

Girlfriend, you should definitely have an Alladin theme for your party, magic carpets, jewelery, and middle eastern fashions, you know the works!

Hey! Um...i'm 24 and thought this would be fun. today my sweet puppy died, :( so hopefully this will take my mind off of it...moving on. i LOVE parties!! you have some good ideas but you need to think of other people's party's for inspiration. always a good place to start. you don't want it tooo traditional; obvious. but also-you should throw a pretty big one. this is the 1 & ONLY time u'll be 16. ENJOY it!!! believe me; things only get more complicated. sooo...for u:

idea 1: where r u located? this is crucial to ur party plans & for us to help you; we need to know too. climate is VERY important in it's role for you. just wait & see.

2-polkadotdesign!? isn't that rock of luv 2-kristy joe? hmm...i think it is but either way they have cute stuff. if it is what i think you should try to stem a party off of the show. it could be fun. you have a brett michaels life-size poster & pin the hat on bret..or the belt..or something else..haha. it's always fun to embarrass people & urself. good jokes. all in fun. no pink & black. tooo overplayed lately. pink, brown, & white. pink & green (although overly played too-you could add white or brown and it will work). also- its SUMMER. do yellows, reds, oranges, beachy sunset colors. always fun even if you do the s&t city theme; red shoes could be the #1 attraction rule for the night. all red shoes. you could do this for any theme.

3-have common themes. tell EVERYONE dresses (makes you feel like a princess; everyone will have a better time). GOOD dresses, summery dresses too. no winter stuff.

*good matching shoes too. this will make ppl mingle even if they don't like each other. on invites tell em; polka dot shoes, red shoes, or pick the color of the night & go w/ it. make em wear that color hair ties too. like ribbons or clips, etc.

4-bags are a GREAT idea. call the stores ahead & ask how much they'd charge you for their extras.

*look up TONS of games. this will help a lot too. dvd games are always a great idea. it makes girls loud & laugh.

*get a couple of posters of the theme (s&t city, sarah, if you go w/ something diff. get those posters)

*have trivia ?s of the show/movie, etc. & give out "prize bags" full of goodies for the winners. make sure you make extras so everyone gets 1 for something. put fun things in them like stuffed hearts for brett themes; or ceramic shoes for s&t city themes, candies of course!! :), silly putty, etc etc. you wouldn't believe how much fun girls have w/ these crazy things. its' LOADS. bring back the memories. haha.

6-also either way, you should send out a flier at school of an anonymous survey for a party w/ ur ?s on it, tell the teachers to instruct their kids to leave em at her/his desk after class & pick them up after school or lunch, etc. ask the principal. i'm sure they'd let you. just tell em "how much it means sorta thing"...

I like the "sixteen and the city" theme.

Maybe colours could be golds and silvers or gold/pink or silver/turquoise.

Have "teen" type magazines out and just gossip about all the celebs.

Have manicures/pedicures.

Love the shopping bag idea for decorations.

Have some funky costume jewelry laid out so girls can try on and pick out something to take home.

Have a variety of flavoured coffees to sample vote for a favourite.  The favourite is served to everyone as an iced coffee.

Maybe put little lights in the shopping bag decor.

the yacht sounds good  have a buffet on the yacht....or set out a beautifully set table with gold balloons and heart and star confetti and glitter.

have a punch bowl with an ice sculpture?

a chocolate fountain and  a three teir cake withyour favourate flavour ( eg.mississipi mudcake )cover it with icing of your favourate colour and put little shoes made of marzipan on it.

a chocolate fondue.

little fruit kebabs to serve with choc fountain or fondue

type in sweet 16 on google images and im sure you'll find some good ideas

.Have an ice bucket

and really nice fairy lights if you do it at night

and candels

if you do it at day time do stylish napkins  and put little umbrellas in th drinks

I think the girls should wear really nice summer dresses and you should wear a princess crown lol:D
