HELLP! When I turn my computer on, I get bombareded by spammy web pages that just keep popping up.

I have a pop-up blocker but it doesn't work. My computer is running slow. And I don't have a lot of money.

You need to get yourself a antivirus installed and a firewall installed.

They take care of your virus / spyware / firewall need and are free

Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT remove these as they are malicious codecs, they may find reference to them which it removes but it comes back.

Download, install, update, scan and follow on screen prompts.

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

Download, install, check for updates, then select Scan your Computer, select your drive and select Perform Complete Scan

Disconnect your computer from the internet

Run vundo

Restart your computer

Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.
