You can't make yourself get over someone, the only thing that heals these wounds is time sweetie. Try to keep yourself busy doing other things to keep your mind off of him, and trust me before you know it it will be better and you will find yourself liking someone else

The best way to get over somebody is to stop seeing and communicating with them.  Well actually the best way is to find someone else that you're interested in, but that's hard when your focus is still on him.  Throw away all his pictures and things he gave you.  Stop talking to him.  Find somebody new, either a new person, or a new interest or hobby that doesn't involve a person, so that you can enjoy your time independant from somebody else.

If you want to take the high road, then all you can do is wait for time to heal you and try to occupy yourself with other things (friends, activities, schoolwork, etc.). Realize that you've grown as a person and deserve better than him.
