HELP, My dog is really sick.?

She just started doing this 2 days ago. When she poops,its just mucus like. She wont eat, When ever she drinks, she just throws it up. She lays around all day. She sleeps for hours. I dont know what to do. I have no money to take her to the vet right now. can you tell me what she has and how I can fix it. I just wanna know how I can fix it right now. or atleast how to help it.

Ugh. Could also be giardia, maybe? You NEED to take her to the vet. Even if it means you eat Kraft Dinner and tuna for a few weeks. Does the shelter have a vet on-call? Tell them the situation. Maybe they'll work out a payment plan with you or something. My friend's vet did that for her, once.

Could be Parvo, sore throat, virus

Try deworming her.  pyrantol Pamoate. Mucous could be from worms

OR it could be from coccidia or some other bacteria which would require Albon.

Just deworm the dog asap. give it a little extra compared to the dosage. The stuff you get at walmart is not as strong as the vets dosage.  

you will need to deworm again in two weeks also

But, if the dog is vomiting she may throw up the dewormer. Sometimes this will happen with severe hookworm infestation....just give her time to get over the vomiting and then give  her the dewormer then.

don't let her get dehydrated. give ice cubes.

she really needs to go to the vet.

Hi, you have already received a lot of good information here so I won't elaborate on your dog's health issues. I will repeat that it's very important that she doesn't dehydrate so ensure that she continues to receive fluids. Your update says that you don't have a human society nearby. I recommend that you check in your phone book for what agency is responsible for animals in your municipality then.  Animal Care and Control, the SPCA..... reach out to whoever you must for assistance. Express that you found the dog and attempted to rescue it and maybe you will receive some goodwill. Consider taking out on kijiji in pets to locate the original owner they may be suffering the loss of a beloved pet.

sounds like she is very ill- if you don't have the money to care or her- you may want to contact the humane society and see if they will allow you to surrender her

I would worry about her having something stuck in her stomach.

You can't fix it at home! You need to find the money and take your dog to the vet! Only a vet can properly diagnose your dog. Anything could be causing it! Until you find out what that something is, you can't treat it! Just remember this! It is against the law, if your pet is sick or injured and you don't get it the veterinary care it needs.

Nobody here can tell you what your dog has,or how to fix it---other than saying borrow the money somewhere and take the dog to the vet.  Many vets have payment plans.  Sometimes Humane Societies have low-cost vet clinics.   Whatever she has is not good, find a way to get her treated by a vet.

If your dog doesn't recover in a day or two, then she will need medical attention.  Some vets will provide pro bono care for your pet.  Offhand your pet's symptoms could be a parasitic infestation or a bacterial infection. If so, these will require medicine for affected treatment.  Pro bono means that you don't have to pay for the treatment.

sounds like she ate something poisenous. most vets wont make you pay right then for something that bad : ( good luck!!
