I need something to help cheer up my boyfriend. He has been really depressed lately with his job. All he does is work work work.He works in tires and he had surgery on his hand before so his job takes a tole on it along with the fact that he works in the blazing hot sun.

We recently moved out on our own together and its been hard, we live paycheck to paycheck sometimes and he has just been depressed about life and doesn't feel like its even gonna get better. I feel bad that hes not happy about his job he never gets home untill 7 and then goes to bed at 10 to wake up and do it all over again so he only gets 3 hrs of time to him self. Can you suggest a better job and possible something to help him have a better outlook on life? I really need help here guys so please only serious answers. Thanks

  1. the best thing you can do is be there for him. my boyfriend works from 10am to 10pm most days. when he does get home we sit on the couch and he vents about work. then we watch tv and cuddle. i dont work much so it is really hard with me not getting out much. dont bug him with money issues unless it is serious. he just needs some time to vent. that is what works with my man! good luck!

  2. Is there any chance that he could go back to school? I'm kind of in the same situation as he is and it sounds like he's really burnt out. Maybe if he took a class or two, working toward something else, he would see that there might be something else out there for him.

  3. Try to convince him to take one day off from work. Since he's so overworked, just do something relaxing, go see a movie, hang around home, just remind him that you're there for him.

  4. Its must be  hard to see "the light at the end of the tunnel"

Your boyfriend should scan the job vacanies just to see what other jobs are out there, maybe get job descriptions to see what is required for the jobs, he might surprise himself with what other jobs he can do, but he needs to think positive.

Why dont you invite friends over on the weekend even if its just to watch sport, you and your boyfriend need some chill out time with friends to laugh and socialise.

Life can be fun even on a limited budget, be positive....

    good luck
