  1. Wow! What a wonderful way to honor someone special.

    I agree- make it short and sweet.

    I am looking in a book entitled "Toasts for All Occasions" by Jeff and Deborah Herman.  Here are a few that may fit the bill:

    To ____if life begins at 50, we can't wait to see how you will top what has come before.

    May your life be filled with friends, love and family.

    Birthdays are a time to celebrate- the memories of day gone by, the joys of the moment, and the dreams of tomorrow. We're celebrating with you.

    As you reach a new chapter in your lie, may you discover that is you who will write your own story and may you always have a pencil in hand.

    May you live as long as you want, but never want as long as you live.

    My friend (or Aunt's name), I wish health to you,

    I also wish wealth to you;

    I wish the best that life can give to you,

    And may dreams always come true to you.

    May fortune be kind to you,

    And happiness be true to you;

    And love be so sweet to you

    And life be long and good to you.

    And in this toast we give to you

    Our love we all give to you.

    May brooks and trees and singing hills join in the chorus,too.

    And every gentle wind that blows send happiness to you.

  2. I don't know you or your Aunt so this is something that needs to come from your heart.

    Yet you need to hit key points here.

    Mention the respect you have for her

    Mention how generous she is

    Mention how lucky you are to have her as your Aunt.

    Mention special moments you have shared with her.

    Mention the love you have and always will have for her.

    Mention how she makes your life so much better.

    Best of luck

  3. Say a favourite moment about her. Like at time she did something funny, an accomplishment. Then talk about what she means to you. How she impacted your life. Maybe think of adjectives that could describe her like kind, smart, generous, loving... And also what she means to your family.

  4. aunt------- I love you and happy birthday and I hope menopause won't be so bad.

  5. Keep it short and sweet, tell her that real life begins after the age of 50, look at it as a beginning and not an end.
