I am serious about getting a lil rabbit. I even bought the cage and food for it. My mom said no and i thought i can convince her since i bought the expensive cage and food. I've done my research and everything but shes the meanest!!! She said if i bought it, she'd let it go. Im not sure she will and i don't want the lil bunny to be let go because that would be REALLY sad....should i buy it? how can i convince her?? help!!!!

quick question: Are pellets like rectangles that are round good food for a rabbit? instead of timothy hay???

  1. Your gonna have to respect your mom. Maybe when your older and move out. If you still want to.

  2. hi, you could tell her there quiet, cuddly and tell her there just the responsability you need. Try to barrow one of your friends bunnies (if you have friends with bunnies) and take care of it for a day or two, let your mom see the bunny and maby she will think its cute and become attached to it.

If your mom will not let you get a bunny no matter what you tell her then I wouldent get one, you have to have a parent with you when you buy pets so you wouldent beable to get one unless you know the person who is selling it to you.

If your mom keeps on saying no just keep on trying to convince her, tell her all of the good things of owning a bunny, dont just go and buy one because your mom might let it go and that could be tradgic. Most bunnies do not survive if there just let go because they do not no how to hibernate.

  3. I know you want a rabbit, but if your mum will just get rid of it, then its no point in putting it though the trauma. Maybe you should bargain with her and get guinea pigs instead?

And you need pellets, hay, vegetables and water :]

  4. rabbits are alot of maintenance so just tell her by getting one that it will prove that you are very responsible by taking care of its every need. and also tell your mother that rabbits that are tame can most likely no  live in the wild.

she needs to grow up. geez how heartless.

pellets are rabbit food. hay is something like a treat that should be given like 4 times a week.

  5. Feed your rabbit both pellets and timothy hay. As for your problem, work with your mom. Get great grades and show your mom. Show her some of the research. Do it all. I had the same problem. Just give it time.
