I am ending my freshmen year in high school. I plan on getting out of school early in 2010. But, since in the state of Colorado they require for my class to have 22 credits. I have completed 6 credits. According to somebody that graduated a year early they say you have to turn in my work in advance and get good grades. Here are the graduation requirements:

4 Credits - English

2 Credits - Math

2 Credits - Science

3.5 Credits - Social Studies

8.5 Credits - Electives

I either have to take my GED or quickly get my credits although, it may require going to some kind of summer school like online. I absolutely, refuse to drop out of High School. That would be stupid of me and it would effect my future. When I'm a sophomore I plan on taking more electives and have more elective credits than required for next year. So, what things should I do to achieve graduating in 2010 about a year early.

  1. Look into universities in your state that may offer a high school program.  I work for the University of Oklahoma and the university offers an outreach program called "OU High School" that can be completed faster and different than normal high school.

Here's a link to OU HS website so you can see what I'm talking about:  http://ouilhs.ou.edu/
