HELP! ASAP!! WAtER DAMAGE?

Question

My Air conditioner was like having problems and it got water everywhere...I just found out....It was happening for weeks before now there is a gross odor and in the room downstairs there is a brown celling from it. How Can I get the water from the rug!!?!

There are companies that can come in and fix it for you.  That might be a little pricey though.  You will want to pull the carpet up and buy/rent a really good dehumidifier.  If you already have mold, that could complicate things.  If the carpet is moldy you will probably need to replace it.  As far as the ceiling goes... hopefully it will be able to dry on its own.  If money isn't a problem I would really look into a company that can take care of this problem for you.  Just do a search in your area for water damage specialists.  They might be able to give you free advice over the phone.

All you can do is vacuum up the water and spray the rest with mold and mildew cleaner or a water/bleach mixture to kill the mold and mildew.  If it is so bad then will have to redo the sheet rock.  Run a fan in the room to curculate the air will help to.
