can anyone help me with this equation

x - 7 = 19 + x

i have to find out what x is

    There is no answer. No matter what the value of x, the expression is never true.

  4. x - 7 = 19 + x

    get the x terms together by subtracting the x from right side over to left

    x - x - 7 = 19

    -7 = 19

    any time the variable "drops out" of the equation like this you are either left with a true or false number statement.  In this case -7 = 19 is false,  Thus the equation has NO Solution

    If it was true -7 = -7 for example, then there are infinite solutions (x = all real numbers.)
