HELP CAMERA problem!? Online now please respond ASAP?

Question

I have a Canon Powershot SD 1000

Usually I plug my camera into the USB port and ADOBE pops up saying 'connecting to device'

Shortly after.. my pictures start uploading.

For days now I plug my camera in and it says 'connecting to device' and it will sit there and 'connect' for hours but never dl any pictures.

Does anyone know whats wrong.

Add. info. -- I did have a quarantined item in my J drive called auto.exe which I did delete.. my camera isn't my J drive is it?

I have a PowerShot SD1000, too. The easiest way is to take the memory card out of the camera and use a card reader.
