I took three--yes THREE- first response early results tests. All were faintly positive and within the time limit. I want to be excited but then I tried a different brand and got all negatives... Can I trust these tests? I have read that they are more sensitive than the others but I am going crazy wondering!! I want a baby SOO badly. HELP!!!

  1. Yes you can - if you are testing early you have to use the early testing kits - normal ones will not come up positive as they are not sensitive enough.

It is VERY rare to get a false positive (ie a test coming up positive when you are not pregnant).

  2. You can trust those tests, they are more sensitive to the pregnancy hormone than the others!  Congratulations!

  3. Have you missed your period yet? The First Response can tell 5 days before.  Not all others do.  Some can tell 4 days before.  Others can't tell until you've missed a period.  It will say  on the box the soonest you can take it.  I took a First Response test and it was positive for me with  my daughter.  It was right.

  4. No matter how faint the positive it's usually right.  I had the same problem I used 2 First Response and got an extremely faint positive both time then the next day I took a different cheaper test (six of them to be exact) and three of the 6 were negative. I had blood drawn and sure enough I am pregnant

  5. I took one and got a very faint line that turned out to be my current baby in the there.  I didn't get excited until I confirmed with my ob but I was totally stoked once I saw that line.  You should be too!  HPT are really much more sensitive than the other brands!

  6. Yes I had a faint line with my 1st pregnancy.  But with this pregnancy it was hard to get a positive.  Try again tomorrow am but I bet you are.  Congrats!
