I just took a really hot bath an hour ago, I've been pretty sick for a couple of weeks and the really hot water felt great on sore achy muscles. I felt it burning my skin, but I guess I didn't pay attention that much, like I said I'm still pretty sick. About ten minutes ago I realized that my labia is burning, and when I looked in the mirror it is very bright red and hurts a little. It looks burnt. I did feel it burning some in the hot water but I guess I just figured it wasn't that hot and I'd get used to it. It quit burning in the bath but now it looks like I did something. I feel so stupid...it isn't like scalded, but it looks burnt and I don't know what to do? This is so embarrassing...I've been so sick for weeks that I can't think and feel dizzy and shaky and achy and now I went and did this!!!

  1. Have you had s*x recently? Sexually transmitted diseases can make you feel how you described and make your genitals sore and swollen.

Try putting a cold, wet face washer on it. If you have an aloe vera plant you could squeeze some of the gel out of the leaves an apply it. It's soothing to burns and wounds in general.

  2. i imagine so that's a very tender area use a very cool cloth or  ice pack on it but b sure to use a cloth not to get it too cold

  3. i don't think you should worry about it.. it will definitely heal.

to help things along, try to put some ointment on to help soothe your skin and heal the burn (i like aquaphor but you could try neosporin or something like that).

If you are in pain, try the above suggestion of some cold packs over your underwear or a towel.

I'm sorry you are feeling so sick!  Get better asap.
