My corn snake normally eats dethawed pinkies. Today i thought i would go up a size but i think i went up two sizes by mistake. My snake has been stuck on the mouse head for about 20 minutes. Is he gonna die? What should i do?

(cant take to the vet, too costly)

I dont want some dumb answer saying im stupid. dont answer unless you actually know what your talking about.

  1. Well lets see. I got a free ball python who was sick with mouth rot....and I took it to the vet. Well yes the vet was costly but the ball python was my beloved pet therefore it doesn't matter how much money it was going to cost me, it was worth it. For most....wait, for true and responsible animal lovers, the price is nothing compare to a beloved friend. Once you own a pet, it is your responsibility to care for it, vet bills and all.

And another thing, I also got a free rat from a rat rescue and I took it to the vet every year just like a normal dog or cat.

So basically, you shouldn't own a pet if you aren't willing to pay the cost. I've spent over $8000 on all my animals. And I haven't regreted it.

And for your situtation, try slowly pulling the mouse out of his mouth so the snake would or maybe might have the reflex to throw up the mouse. Other then that there is nothing you can do. If anything try calling a local reptile store....maybe they could help you out.

  2. Calm Down theres nothing to worry about he will regurgitate it if its to big for him. The Cornsnake knows what hes/shes doing.

  3. snakes eat mice

    ddddddddddduuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

  4. a normal prey should be the size of the cornsnakes thickest part of the body.. if its bigger than that its probably 2 big

  5. wait u have a pet that your not willing to take to the vet due to the cost. if u cant afford the vets bills u shouldnt have the pet. im sorry i dont know what to do a specialist herp vet would.

realistically it will probably regurgitate what its swallowed of the mouse when it can.

  6. i had that same problem with my corn snake, and when i held it it tried regurgitating it, so with the tongs i pulled the mouse out of his mouth and he was totally fine.
