  1. I would not think so, unless you get the XM or sirrus radio.  where you pay a monthly fee.


  2.      Well in Canada I don't know but in the states try Muzak, which about every store has now days.  On the Muzak link click on  Music Licensing and Your Business this is some really good info.

    If you play the radio or Television in the course of your business from a local station for instance, those stations already pay the royalty fees and according to one of the major rights organizations in the US, you do not have to pay but depends upon a few factors

    Usually if you are playing music off a CD or mp3 player in your business, however you need licenses for the public performance of such. See above link for more info.

    That's why Sirius and XM offer a business package that offers for a extra fee, to pay the music rights fees also for the businesses that subscribe.
