HELP... Does a Fiat punto gear box fit in a Fiat seicento?

I have asked this question already but ididn't get any answers,

Its a fiat seciento 2000, i need to know if a punto gearbox will fit in the seciento, Please answer i need to know asap, Thankyou.

  1. If the engine is a 899 cc unit then NO , if its a 1108 cc FIRE engine then perhaps.

    If your thinking about replacing the box because it crunches during the gear-changes and make sure that you have the correct oil in it and check your clutch adjustment.

    The wrong oil WILL crunch the gears on the change.
