HELP! Does anyone have this Piston Cup 500 Cars Toy?

It's for a bday present and someone sent it as a gift to our stepson and it's already in a package - I don't want to open it and the kids birthday is tomorrow. I got thinking there probably aren't any batteries with it. Does anyone out there in Answers have this for their kids? Can anyone help me with what size (and how many) batteries it takes? (I couldn't find it online here:
