Question:

HELP! Downloading music

I am trying to download tracks to burn to CD to play at an event. (Basically I just wanted to make compilation CD's).

I took the excellent advice of people here and managed to download individual tracks (legally & from a reputable site!) and added them as a playlist on my WMP. So far so good! Except every single track I have (30) says that it has no 'usage rights' and therefore cannot be burned to CD. I signed licence agreements when I bought the individual tracks. I am sorry because I must sound like an idiot but does this mean I can only play the tracks on my computer?

  1. no make the playlist and download a cd burning program and put that playlist on and burn it.

so dont use windows media to burn.

  2. Just look at the location where those tracks are saved(usually My music), copy them to the cd and simply burn with windows XP's built n utility.

  3. This will burn copyrights

  4. You can use another burner but if you want to use windows player, you need to open options and go to privacy.Make sure download usage rights automatically is checked. The thing is, for it to work, you need to play them first.Kinda dumb huh?

  5. Better yet..you could try downloading from file sharing sites..like beemp3.com, jamglue.com (you have to create an account though)

    They're totally free and LEGAL.

    Limewire is good too.
