"O, h**l! to choose love by another’s eye."

This is said by Hermia from A Midsummer Night's Dream. What does she mean? Why does she say this?

  1. Easy, someone else chooses who you love. Probably because the thing that caused people to fall in love witch each other in the play. It's been a while since I read it.

  2. Im going to guess (ive never read the play or seen th emovie or have any idea what context this is from) that they mean that you dont choose who you love with another person's opinion or just because someone else loves them. Compare it to someone seeing Jessica Alba. They say shes hot, do you determine that she is based only on that or do you judge for yourself? So love the person because you do not because someone else does

  3. to be able to tell someone who to love

  4. Baseing what you love off of what other people love. Not having your own love. eg--> liking a certain movie because your friend likes it.
