HELP FAST! hatching chicks?

We are hatching chicks and one just hached and it has a big red sack on its butt, i am kinda worried what should i do?

  1. When chicks are developing in the egg, they usually absorb the yolk last right before hatching. Hence "the red sack." Nothing needs to be done, over the course of the first few days of life, they chick's body will naturally feed off of the egg yolk until it is completely gone. In the meantime, give them a shallow dish of water and some chick feed to get started eating on their own.

  3. That is probably the remains of the egg sack and will be absorbed inot the body over the next few days.

  4. Nothing, that is the yolk sack and is connected to the intestines. Did you help it out? They are supposed to absorb that before they come out. There is a high possibility it will die. All mine that came out that way have.

    Let them do it on their own..
