HELP!! my hair always looks terrible if i wear it down - i usually wear it in a ponytail because of this. I have really thick, black hair, it goes down to my shoulders and i have a side-fringe. Can you please give me any tips on how to make it look better when it's down? Thank-you.

P.S - i don't always have time to straighten in the morning before school and i've already have my hair layered - it still sucks.

Thanks again, i'd really appreciate it.

  1. well i use to have the same problem until i cut it short, but my advice is put it in a plait at night take it out in the morning then u have curls for school? or no,...?

  2. you could scrunch it with mousse while its wet and then put hairspray on it so it stays, or you could do the same above but before hairspraying it, dry it and scrunch it at the same time then hairspray it so it doesn't look as wet.

  3. ask your hairdresser to thin it!

also to save time have your hair chemicaly straightened

  4. Getting it thinned would help alot

and putting some garnier oil in it.

    =]

    hope this helps!

  5. straighten your hair

    but first blow dry it

  6. Put olive oil then rinse it out wiht hot water.:)

  7. I have the same type of hair but I am blond.

I straighten and blow dry my hair at night time after I shower.

Blow drying is very important and you want to blow dry the ends inwards so it makes you hair less puffy looking.

I go through this every night and My hair still looks great in the morning!

  8. Get it thinned out. It'll be a LOT easier to maintain and do stuff with.

  9. umm i have really thick hair too so every 2 months i go to the hair salon and get my hair thinned out. [ it helps alot] and ask if they can trim your hair to make it healthier that will help MAJORLY with split ends.

  10. okay well idk if u hav bangs or not, but i would get bangs and sometimes wear your hair in a messy bun.

  11. At the hair salon, you can ask to get it texturized. This can take some of the bulk out. But if you can't, then I recommend spending some time blowdrying your hair, because it kind of has the same effect as straightening. If that doesn't work, just clip a small section of your hair back, which will distract from your hair, and to your face.

    Hope this helps!

  12. Hair dryers can have a similar effect on your hair as straighners if you have the right hair type.

if you hair is slightly waves, GOOD.

After you've washed your hair use a wide toothed comb to brush your hair while you're drying it with the hair dryer. You hair should come out well straightened but will have good volume
