There's a guy who has been playing in tournaments under a FAKE NAME, and provided false information to the DCI & players. This has been going on for over 3 months and I'm sick of seeing this a**hole. IS THERE AN EMAIL FOR THE DCI, OR SOMEONE THAT I CAN CONTACT TO GET HIM SUSPENDED???

  1. What you should have done was call the judge when you were playing on site and reported him then. Had you done that, the process would have been a lot easier.

However, you are not out of options yet. You may appeal the tournament at Wizards DCI site, check http://www.thedci.com for more details, or you can email custserv@wizards.com, and thedci@wizards.com, tell them about your problem and wait for a response.

Next time, however, feel free to call the judge. We are players just like you, and we will attempt to resolve the problem as fairly as possible. Call us over next time you see an infraction and save both youself and us a lot of trouble.

  2. The first thing you need to do is talk to the tournament organizer of the events you've been attending. The store I go to has a few "dummy" accounts so that if people forget their DCI card(and its not in the computer) they can still play. If the guy is playing under a false name you should look here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dci... If he's one of these people, report him to the tournament organizer immediately. I couldn't find any way for player to report other players and without official testimony from a certified DCI judge your email(unless it concerns an already suspended player) would likely be ignored. All you can do is complain to the tournament organizer and hope s/he will do something.

  3. Two things you can do.  One, contact someone at www.wizards.com and get their advise, but mostly, you need to have proof of the infraction, then the word JUDGE means everything.  Let the judge know of your complaint at the tournament you are attending (but only if the player who is committing the infraction is also there) and let them go through DCI databases to verify your findings.

Now I don't know what the penalty is for playing under a fake name, but if he wins anything significant, which would require paying taxes on the winnings, then this is vital.

    Thank you for your support.

  4. The first level is to contact your TO. He/she may not know that the player is playing under a faulty name. If your TO doesn't do anything about it, then you need to escalate to level 2 which is contacting Wizards Organized Play.

You should then email andy.heckt@wizards.com Although he is not the Organized Play Investigation Manager (which is who would actually handle that request), Andy is the supervisor of the person in that role so he can facilitate contact. In your email, give every piece of evidence you have.

You will need to have his fake name, his real name, suspension status (if there is one), the name of the TO who's events he's been playing at the very least.
