  1. If your father says no, your father says no.

I live in the country with 160 acres plus cattle, and no horse. A horse would be practical, and our neighbors have horses, and my mother wouldnt mind one--but dad says no--it's a fact of life. Be it money, or in my case my father is a moron who doesnt trust horses--whatever the reason, you have to wait.

    I have to.

  2. How old are you? I used to be like that, and I had no other option but to wait until I could afford a horse myself. My parents would not buy me one or help me with one, but now that I'm in college I'm finally able to get my first horse, after taking lessons for 11 years. Life is hard sometimes.

  3. Do you understand how expensive it is to get and own a horse? Do you realize that this is probably the reason you cannot get one? Get a job and save up for one yourself, and then I'm sure your dad won't mind helping you pay for his food and etc. We all want things, sweetie, but that doesn't mean we always get them. Show your dad you're responsible enough and find a way to save money on your own.

  4. I am in the same boat as you, I am 13, I don't own land but there is a nice stable where I could board my own horse. I am well knowledged and i know I could do it!!

I am working very hard to my mom, by working for the money myself. Also ( I know this may sound silly) cleaning and doing chores around the house whille managing a actual life. I think that you can do it too!! Especially that you have land.!!

Good luck:)!! keep me updated please:)

    I am rooting for you

  5. Hey hun.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Miley is leaving Disney.

Which will suck. But um yeah. I hope not because

thats where she belongs. She is hannah montana.

Selena has no where to belong as Hannah.

So, i hope for the best! and umm,

idk side jobs. Im working at friendlys next year i will be

    14.

lol idk just ask for a job to do to get money! horses

are a lot! it takes a lot to take care of a horse.

  6. Work at a stable or a farm and see if the owners will let you ride after you've cleaned stalls/fed horses/cleaned the tack/etc.  I have a friend who moved across country and couldn't bring her horse, so she's giving lessons and working at a stable.  It's not perfect, but it's a start.

I agree that you don't know what a horse costs, and it could be that your dad expects that you won't do everything to take care of it.  If you work for someone else and really have an idea of what it takes to own a horse (never mind the expense) then he might warm up to the idea.  I don't know what you do to help your parents take care of the 40 acres, so doing more around the farm is a sign of maturity.  I do note a lot of shouting in your question--maybe he needs less adolescent drama.

Do your grades have anything to do with it?  I wonder if he's waiting until your spelling gets better. . .

When you start doing for others, I've always found that rewards follow.

  7. Hey could you add more details 'cause when I read the title they descerption I get con-fuz-zled

    Just read with the stars:

HELP!!! I'm A Very Expirienced Rider, But *My *Dad Won't *Let *Me *Get *A *Horse!!! What 2 Do, What 2 Do!!!

  8. i am too and my dad said i could get a horse and i talked to him about it the other day and he denied all of it.... go onto petfinder.com or just go on google and type in "horses for sale in ------" and then you have a whole list!!! then show him the poor horses and do a lot of chores to show him how responsible you are!!!

    lucky!! lol have fun :)

  9. Ask your dad to explain why he says "no horse".  They are expensive animals to keep, I'm told - the room is only part of the cost.  There's feed, farriers, tack, vet bills...  they all add up.

I second the suggestion that you find a local stable and get a job there.  You may be able to work a deal with them about this.

  10. Where are you at?  I know a man in Idaho who is looking to give away about 4 horses.  Do you have transportation?

What are your father's objections to you having a horse?  If it is the initial cost, you can find free horses. If it is the upkeep, you'll have to work that out with him.

  11. Find a stable nearby that hiring.  Work for them and they may let you board a horse there.

  12. Ask your dad why. Find out his reasons. Then tell him how you feel about horses. See if there anything you can do. To get that horse.
