Question:

HELP! I am having problems opening PDF FILES?

It concerns Adobe, I have tried to install the upgrade, and ever since then I have been unable to open any pdf files, I get an error that says IE has to shut down.

I have also tried uninstalling to no avail, when I try to install the upgrade I get an error message saying unable to uninstall the older version.

I have tried to save files to open latter, this has not worked.

Any ideas on how to resolve?

  1. You could try uninstalling yet again but this time run the registry scan in http://ccleaner.com and 'fix selected issues' Repeat this scan until nothing is detected. This software deletes what is left over from removed programs.

    Then install http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/re... again.

  2. Note: Adobe doesn't support third-party software, such as web browsers.

  3. Is it the full Adobe Acrobat or just the PDF reader?  What version of IE do you currently have?  Windows XP or Vista?  Need more info.
