  1. I feel your pain, this happened to me as well.  Depending upon the dye you have used you should be ok to dye it again tomorrow.

I just dyed my hair a natural dark colour but I have had a friend who went to the hair dressers and got the dye stripped out of her hair, its a little expensive buy worth it, if you feel like you cant live with the hair the way it is.

Also don't worry, I think its just one of those things, almost everyone I know has had a bad dye job.

  2. you can get color oops

    or dye it black

    for sure black will work

or you can get color fix

    i heard thats better

you can dye it right after

  3. Hi DN,

My best advice to you, since we can't see the color of your hair, is to call the toll free number on the haircolor box that you used and tell them what happened. They will be able to guide you to a product that will get you closer to the haircolor you wanted. You could also make an appointment with a professional colorist who can color correct the problem for you.

    Hope this helps!

  4. wait until 3 days then lightly bleach it and recolor!

  5. buy another box of hair dye but this time a more expensive nicer box and re color it and leave it in for the right amount of time that it will tell you and you'll be fine =0

  6. If I were you I would bleach my hair, just to kind of start over. Then dye your hair the colour you originally wanted it. That should definitely work.

    Good luck :]

  7. It will naturally fade with time, but if you want to get it to brown... go to the store and buy a darker brown.. it's still going to kind of be a reddish color untill it fades.

You can dye it right away, just make sure you condition it good tomorrow.

  8. lol.. that because ur hair might be light.. try darker.. maybe it will work..

    thats funny

  9. Do what I did as a kid. Dont go to work tomorrow and have a professional fix it. They do this all the time/

  10. If it is a lighter shade then your natural hair it will be harder to fix, but try using Dawn dish washing detergent. It removes color pretty well. Don't re-color right away or you will damage your hair and scalp. Wait a couple of weeks. I did the same thing once, only I was Bleached Super Blonde!

  11. go to a good salon and ask for a color correction

it's pricey, but if you don't want to be stuck with that color, it's worth it

  12. try washin it out. u have to remember that not all dye in a box will come out the exact shade. get a dark brown and try dying it agian if it doesnt wash out.

  13. Oh jeez that sucks, lol.

Well, first of all, I would be suing that store that you bought it from!

And second, try dying it black, it should help!

But believe me, that red is going to be VERY hard to get out!

    :(

  14. I'm assuming you have blond hair and tried to go auburn.

    that was mistake number one.

Auburn will turn bright red when applied to blond hair.

I'd say wait a week add a dark brown and you should get the color you want.

Also next time you want to go from ultra light to anything dark get it done professionally.
