HELP!!! I dropped my phone in water...?

It was in there for less than 3 seconds. The dot is completely red. Can it turn back to white after it dries? It still works, but I'm letting it dry out for a little while. Any other tricks that could work?

  1. Umm...I'd say Pray 2 god. um...Dry it with a blowdyrer...umm...put in rice..um...put it in front of fan

  2. uhm i did hat once

let it dry for a few dayssssss

my cell was soooo badd it would not work at all, just let it dry for a while

try putting in it dry rice, i heard it works

    =]

    hope it works!

  3. I hear of putting the phone in rice. the red dot wont come out but the phone can still work.

  4. OMG that happened to me once and i panic! i didnt know what to do then so i gave mine to my uncle and he all sort of things to it like shake it, take the battery out, dried it with hairdryer and stuff

at first i thought it would never work again cos i turned it on after a couple of shakes and the buttons were all muddled up and stuff so after more shakes and drying it made it completely work again

    hope that works for you

  5. sorry, that red dot basically says you dropped the phone in water, and that your phone will not be replaced by the company under warranty.

but what you can do is KEEP THE BATTERY out of the phone, and keep the phone in a dry spot so it can dry up. all those rice tricks, blowdryer, oven, microwave c**p. DONT RISK IT. a lot of my friends tried blowdriers and ovens, and it fried their phone completely.

The rice trick is questionable, but i doubt it. and you wouldn't want little pieces of rice getting in your phone anyways.

Leave it alone for three to four days, and then see if it works.

  6. My 5 year old son just dropped my cell phone in his bowl of cereal this morning! Funny now but I was pissed this morning. I didn't know he dropped it and when it rang, I went to answer it and my husband was saying HELLO?:? HELLO? I said "HELLO" but he couldn't hear me. The phone was ALL WET and then my son told me"oh- I dropped the phone by accident in my cereal " The phone rings but I can't dial the numbers. I was wondering the same question. THAT"S FUNNY! My husband said to blow dry it with the blow dryer. I'm waiting to see if mine drys too if not, I need a NEW PHONE!. I am mad!!! I can't live w/out my cell phone.

  7. Did the same with my phone. If you are talking about the dot on the battery then you are screwed. It won't dry out, its dead, but I think the phone may still work so you should get a new battery and see if it works. Good luck!

  8. I heard putting it in rice for 10min and taking it out to see if it works, works. but no your dot is completely red and your screwed for the most part. With that but try the rice thing. Hope that helps =]
