HELP! I found my older brother! Haven't seen him in 5 years!?!?

Question

Okay so i found out he has a myspace!

and i don't know what to do!

i haven't seen him or heard from him in over 5 years! ( neither has the rest of my family)

He apparently got into a "fight" with my parents that they didn't even know happened.

He wants nothing to do with us, but my dad has been talking to his girlfriend so he at least knows that he's alive and that everything is okay.

what should i do?

should i just leave a comment or what??

and i can't tell my parents cuz i'm not supposed to even have a myspace.

Send him a message.. don't leave a comment.  Make it something just between the two of you.  Don't get your hopes up too high for a reunion though... I don't want to be a downer but he may not respond positively or even at all.

Invite him to your friends list.  and yes leave him a comment.  If his problem is really with your parents he will respond nicely.  I

If he has a Myspace page, sign on and say hi, tell him you miss him, etc. and just keep it a secret for now.  If he signed into your Myspace page, just carry on with him as a friend.  You don't have to tell your parents right now because your brother still doesn't seem to want anything to do with them (when he does, he can contact them).  It was his fight with your parents so you should stay clear of that and let them figure out what to do.  In the meantime, you can just stay in contact directly with him and don't need to tell your parents (just make sure you don't ever tell, not even when you're angry).  Kids don't always tell their parents everything and staying in contact with your brother is not harmful.

Make sure that your parents are willing to help by going to family therapy . Then convince your brother to come back that everything will be alright after the therapy.

Send him a nice message. He had a fight with your parents, not you so he should be nice but no guarantees. If he wants nothing to do with you then you never know. He could still be mad. Just send him a message or leave him a comment. There's a 50-50 chance he'll respond. :)

He shouldn't be mad at you, since the reason he's away is because of the fight with your parents.
