Question:

HELP! I got a flint stuck in the tube of my Zippo?

I was checking the size of the flint on my zippo and when I dropped it back in the tube it got stuck about a 1/4 inch down. I have tried to dislodge it with a coat hanger and a paper clip. I tried smacking the bottom on a book. I even tried putting it in the freezer, because I saw it here on answers.

I am considering using a dremel or putting water in the tube to rust the flint but I don't know if these would work. Any other suggestions. Oh and if I wanted to try taking the wheel off how would I put it back on.

Additional details: It is a standard windproof zippo. The tube I am talking about is the same tube that the spring screws into in the bottom. The flint is stuck in the tube sideways and is apparently exactly as long as the tube is wide

  1. Use the dremel if it will reach or get a super drill bit and drill it till it disintegrates or dislodges...failing that get a new zippo
