HELP! I have 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the US I must use by 9.30.08?

My problem is, I was thinking a cruise from los angeles since I live in NE PA (furthest distance- expensive flight for free) but the only cruise is 7 days to mazatlan, cabo and puerto vallarta. I'm claustrophobic and I've so many bad things about the food on board....now I just looked up the same 7 night vacation at our favorite island- punta cana in the DR and if I used my free tickets to miami I could fly all inclusive in a superb beach hotel for only $599 each--and that's about the same as the cruise without the loss of alcohol and the inability to spend each day laying on the beach.........I need ideas people......please help...........LA means a hotel the night before and the night after....never been to CA but never had a desire either...and August 31 is hurricane season- but mostly gulf not DR? time is a tickin and I'm just not loving it yet......HELP

If you go to the Dominican Republic, do it before June 1st. That's the beginning of hurricane season. If you're going to take a cruise, take the Alaskan cruise. I'd go somewhere I'd never been before.
