  1. First, look for a bad potato, onion or garlic clove. Then put some vinegar in a narrow mouth container and leave that out for  a few days.

  2. Wipe everything down with vinegar

  3. Mix vinegar & lemon dishwashing liquid. Put where they can get to it.

  4. We had the same problem you couldnt open anything or run water or get ice without finding dead gnat and 10 of its closest family members lol we used fly tape and its all cleard up... Plus a friend of mine works at a dog track and they use them in the kennels to keep flying bugs away from the dogs and it really works they say!!

  5. Where's all the fresh fruit.........bananas and berries and stuff...got anything in the waste basket.......huhhhhhh???....Now look close........you may find it.

  6. You can try a carnivorous butterwort or sundew to naturally kill them, but remember to give them distilled water and no fertilizer. They use flies as fertilizer. Even Better!!!

  7. Get rid of wet or damp cloths, empty excess water out of house plants,( I water them with some soap mixture water)

    They make me crazy!!!

  8. find the rotten food where the maggots are hanging out..end of problem.....

  9. I always heard you were supposed to leave a bowl of beer out so they fly into it and get wet and can't get out...

    They drown there...

They may be looking for water to drink and not necessarily looking for food...

I have seen some flies that are very small in my dishwasher and they keep coming back even after the cycles are done...

If you live in a hot humid place, that may be what they are looking for...

  10. You fill a bottle with a mixture of vinegar and dish liquid- I believe it is a teaspoon of dish liquid to a cup of vinegar. Cover the top with a piece of plastic wrap and then poke a few holes in the plastic. The fruit flies will be drawn in but can't get back out.

  11. Even when your kitchen is spotless they will be attracted to a closed trash can or the fruit and vegetable particles remaining in your sink traps.  Pour some fruit juice or sugar water in a large jar or glass, form a funnel out of paper and insert it into the top of the jar without letting it touch the liquid.  The little pests will fly into the jar and cannot get out.
