HELP!! I have an Amazon Kindle E-Book and I am experiencing some problems!

I have an Amazon Kindle E-Book and something is wrong with it. There are lines across the screen and none of the buttons are doing anything. I tried to reset it but it didn't work. Please Help!!

Take the battery completely out and then put it back in and hit the reset button on the kindle.  Then let it charge for around an hour.  Turn it back on and see if it works properly.  If it doesn't the second thing to try is to turn it on and let the battery completely discharge and then perform the process outlined above.  If neither of these work I would then contact Kindle support at Amazon.com.

(I just got my kindle and the thought of what you describe scares me! I Love my Kindle!)
