  1. drink water the night before and practice

  2. walk a little jog a little get warmed up stretch and breath in deep for less cramps and an easier run. dont take  long strides, they kill. try to keep up with somebody whos as fast as you.

  3. everyday we have gym we have to run a mile just about... heres 5 simple things I do to prepair that helps :

1rst) drink lots of water... if you cant take it with you on the run

2nd) stretch, get warmed up, b4 u run jog slowley in place for about 15 sec.

3rd) possitive attitude just think faster you run sooner u get finished!

4th) inhale through your nose...exhale through your mouth

5th) Wear comfy shoes, that arnt to small or too big

  4. focus on an object in front of you, and absolutely nothing else. then full-out sprint the entire mile. after you get to a turn, look left and focus on that one object to your left. if you can manage to forget that you are running, then you will be able to sprint out the entire thing in 4 minutes.

  5. Make sure you stretch before hand so you won't get a cramp and bring water so you won't get dehydrated.

  6. It was challenging for me too

I learned that when running long distances, it is helpful to take a breath in, and then release that breath in two shorter breaths. For example: IN..out out, IN..out out.

This technique seemed to help me finish the mile in less time than I suspected :)

  7. Suck it up and just do it.  No one likes a complainer.  No one likes a lazy cheerleader (well not many people like cheerleaders to begin with, but that's beside the point).

  8. drink lots of water and stretch before hand
