I need to discuss the importance of effective team work and communications as well. I can barely make a whole sentence out of it, let alone 500 words.

  1. make a thesis statement- what is the main point? that would be a great start. then describe what your definition of team work and communications are. prove your thesis, conclude with a brief summary of your paper in one or 2 sentences and your thesis statement in there somewhere.

  2. WOW! great essay...talk about everything you experience on a daily basis.  (I assume you work in a restaurant)   Talk about what happens if one person messes up...how it affects everyone else.  Talk about if the manager is in a bad mood, how it brings everyone else down... Talk about if everyone does exactly what theyre supposed to...how everything runs smoothly.

  3. In order for any business to be successful there must be teamwork and positive thinking.  If one person cannot complete their job then another person steps in to help.  This is called teamwork.  Everyone has to be on the same page though in order for things to flow along the right lines.  Communication is the key to success not only in business, but also in our personal life.  Good luck.

  4. the key words in this statement are 'team work' and 'communications'

    Front of house is everyting that is not directly cooking the food.

    In the front of house you may have separate roles for bar staff, wait staff, matre de/host/hostess and even cashier.

    Walk through each stage of going to a restaurant - from walking in and being welcomed by the host, to the host passing your table to a waiter, to the waiter taking a customer order and communicating that to the kitchen and the bar, then those areas communicating back with the waiter to deliver the food/drinks, then the waiter communicating with the cashier to prepare the bill.

    Then also remember the communication between the waiter and the kitchen between courses so the kitchen know when to prepare the food for the next course.

    There is a whole heap of communication and team work that takes place.  Also think about what would happen if this communication and team work did not take place.

    How would the manager feel (no cash coming in), the kitchen feel (their food not getting to the customer hot), the bar feel (drinks not being delivered), the cashier (angry customers not wanting to pay the bill), the hostess (abuse from angry customers)

    I think you've got quite a bit to talk about - you might need more than 500 words to complete this report.

  5. Just some ideas where you could go with this:

    The front of the house dictates the entire flow of the kitchen. When a hostess sits a server, she is not only affecting the server but the kitchen as well. If you are on a wait, and there are open seats that all get filled up at once, all the orders will go in at the same time and the kitchen will be overloaded. All the salads at the same time, all the entrees at the same time, the kitchen will be too crowded in one section. People generally take the same amount of time to eat, so this will continue the pattern for the rest of the evening.

    The quality of food the guest receive, is always due to server, kitchen communication. The server is the mediator between what the guest is expecting, and what the kitchen is going to prepare. If the kitchen tends to over cook or under cook steaks, if fish automatically comes blackened, or if salads only come with cheese on special request, the guest does not know.

  6. the theme for your report is effective team work through communications at all levels of staff involvement with the customer -  from the moment a customer enters the door of a restaurant till they pay the bill and leave.

    Do a flow chart based on your observation of a customer as they enter a restaurant.  Watch who they communicate with - itemize each person the customer interacts with.  From your observations, you will soon know what to write about.

    Get your whole family involved & have your parent/s take you to a restaurant for homework research.  ask them for their opinions.  take a tape recorder with you & note all your observations on that.

    Type up as follows:

       *  Title Page

        * Acknowledgments

        * Summary / Abstract

        * Contents Page

        * Introduction

        * Literature Review

        * Methodology

        * Findings

        * Conclusions

        * Recommendations

        * Appendices

        * Bibliography

  7. What kind of research have you done?  Look up books or websites on restaurant management.

  8. sorry, i don't believe in doing someone else's assignments.
