It's a genealogy based group, nothing "adult" in.

  1. If you are the group owner, you can request that Yahoo change it back to the original category.  If you are not the owner, there is nothing you can do about it.

If you are the group owner, you can use this Yahoo Groups Help form:  http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

In #7, use the drop down arrow and select Other. Type in "My group should not have been changed to Adult Category" or something like that.

In #8, be consistent when asking Yahoo to change it back to the original category.  Keep it simple and straight to the point with facts on why it should not be categorized as adult. Explain exactly what your group's content is.  When all information is completed, make sure to click "Send" at the very bottom of page.

If you don't get a reply from a real live person, just keep replying to the email they send you until you get someone's attention. (It's important to reply to same emails since their replys are coded with reference numbers for staff reference.)

  2. weird, but I'm not sure what the question is.

  3. strangeness. try reposting it. whees the question now? post a link. :D

  4. send in this form- only yahoo can change it- include the category it should be- don't expect a reply from yahoo, they'll just change it for you and people have reported within 24 hrs-

this is a random happening that groups are changing- it's a glitch

  5. Unless this locks you out, don't sweat it.  Some prude probably noticed a word they thought was sexual in the group and force the administrator to change the classification.
