My hubby is coming home from Annual Training with the Army and I just found out that we are pregnant. I've been racking my brain to come up with some neat ways to tell him that he'll remember forever. I'm excited and scared all at the same time so I think it will help to break the news if I do it in a special way.

  1. Clean out his wallet and leave a note saying "better get used to this."

  2. That's so cute, congratulations!

Make him a dinner using all small foods (baby corn, apple sauce)... I saw it on full house once lol.

  3. Ever wondered what the best looking baby in the world would look like?

    you'll find out soon ;p

  4. I am omg Im gonna be a daddy.  ha ha just email him the link to this question

  5. that is soooooo awesome !!!!! i am soooo happy for you !

I would make him a fortun cookie and ya know how they have those little papers in it that say sayings ? well put something like that in it that is giving him the idea that he is gonna be a DAD !!!!

  6. I agree with the first answer

  7. Get him a card that says how much you missed him or welcome home and inside the card, address it to "Daddy".

Or, get a dad type card and give it to him and put a message saying you will be a wonderful father for our baby and if you already went for your first visit, put a copy of the ultrasound in it.  Or, a picture of the pregnancy test results.

  8. How about setting the dinner table with an extra setting of a baby bowl and spoon, and a bib hanging on the chair.

  9. start gathering pictures from your relationship. pics of when you were dating, when you were engaged, the wedding.... and take a pic of your belly (no matter how far along you are, just take a pic of you standing up, with your hands on your belly, or lift your shirt a bit and draw a stick figure of a baby on your belly then snap a pic)

get a photo album or scrapbook, and put the pics in order, with the last page being the pic of your belly. when he gets home, show him the scrapbook / photo album and let him quietly look through the book. when he gets to the last page, he'll get the picture.

  10. oh cool! you should get him a shirt, hat or something and get the same one in a baby size and give them both to him

  11. set up a few things in pink and blue,eg; candles, small stuffed toys, flowers, scatter these things around the house so every where he goes he will see something that has both these colors

  12. Whenever my husband and I get pregnant, I plan on telling him by getting one of those "I Love My Daddy" shirts or bibs or something and wrapping it up and sitting it at his spot at the dinner table.

  13. This is what I did when I told my husband, I didn't know whether we were having a boy or girl so I went to the local craft/party store and bought balloons for a baby shower that were green and yellow...they had little baby strollers on them...I bought about 30 and spread them all over the front room so when he walked the door he would see the balloons immediately. I also bought a plain white shirt and the fabric paints and wrote "We're PREGNANT" on the shirt. I Knew about what time he was coming home so I waiting next to the door and yelled "SURPRISE!" when he walked in to door... It was so awesome!! My husband got tears in his eyes and everything.

    Good luck! and Congrats!!!

  14. well when he comes home tell him that you need to tell it to him and let him try to guess what you need to tell him like them guessing games kids be playing.

  15. you can have a single grain of rice on the table and ask him what it is, then after he guesses wrong say that its the size of your baby...depending on how far along you are. congrats!!

  16. Try getting him a gift when he gets home. Give him a little army onesie, have a card that's addressed to daddy. Maybe get one of the pregnancy shirts that's not super obvious. Just a few suggestions.

  17. A baby themed meal?

    Baby corn, baby carrots...

  18. If you have an ultrasound picture then tell him you want to show him the cutest picture ever... then show him the ultrasound!

  19. cook him dinner but with baby portions like baby carrots, baby spinach, small baby sized pieces of meat, and then for his drink put it in a bottle..he'll get it then

make a little book telling the story of you guys relationship to marriage, give it to him and tell him to open up to page with book mark which will be the telling of how u r having an addition to ur family

buy a baby army fatigue outfit, lay it out flat on the bed and put a bib atop outfit like its being worn, have the bib read, WORLD'S GREATEST DAD or something like that.

address an envelope to him..make it look real so actually put it in the mailbox so it'll have the stamp n date sent. let him get home n relax, sit down and open his mail. inside the envelope will be a picture of the ultrasound and one of those comic bubbles when they r talking, it'll say "Hi Daddy."

  20. show him the ultrasound picture, hang up signs for a baby shower, decorate the house (or a specific room) with a nursery theme.

  21. gift rap some baby stuff and a doll and give it to him by dinner

say just to get some practice

  22. This is what I did. I bought a neutral colored pacifier and gave it to him..when he said " what is this for" I smiled and rubbed my belly.

He pretty much got it from there.

  23. Make sure you put on here what you end up doing.

You could say you want to go shopping and take him into a baby shop to buy a pushchair or something.

Or just start calling him Daddy.

  24. I was totally going to say do the baby foods thing that the first poster said. It's from Full House. It's how Becky told Jesse that they were having the kids. Use baby corn, baby carrots, lamb or veal, baby potatoes.

  25. try putting up a banner saying welcome home daddy

or tell him you have a present and inside the bad shoudl be baby clothing saying something like dadys little angel.

or have the ultra sound and put it in a frame for him

    xoxo

    congrates

  26. Make him a letter or a card with an Army emblem in it telling him he's been drafted or enlisted for a special role as Dad.

Or tell him, there's someone new in your life since he's been away and then after he gets so upset, show him the ultrasound pictures. I know its sounds crazy =)

    Congratulations anyway new mommy!
