  1. You could kill that book in a few days. You know how you get caught up in T.V shows and end up just watching the entire season because you liked the first episode! Oh, you don't...? Anyway, if you have a few days off, just kick it at home and read the whole thing in a few days! When you're done, you'll want to start another book.

  2. Step 1) Turn off the computer.

Step 2) Make yourself a snack, mid-sized works best.

Step 3) Make yourself something warm to drink. Herbal or black tea is what I favor.

Step 4) Sit down, open the book, and ignore the rest of the world.

  3. 13 days is enough, or - wayy too much - time to read one book.

Especially one that is only 208 pages.

Don't read chapter summaries. Stupidest thing you can do. About 85% of the time, teachers have already read the chapter summaries, and make SURE to ask questions about information not given in the chapter summaries.

And you'll look even more stupid when you see your teacher calling on random students to answer questions - and then she calls on you. And you have no idea what the answer is.

My advice? Set aside some time from each day. 13 days, 208 pages, right? You only have to read 16 pages per day!

[But since today's almost over, don't you have 12 days left? If that's the case, then 208/12 is 17.3333, so read 18 pages per day.]

16/18 pages [depending on whether you have 12 or 13 days] are not a lot. You can do it. :]

    ---- EDIT ----

Wait, I checked amazon.com for the information that the book has 208 pages. But now I realize your version may have more/less. How many does yours have?

Just take that number of pages and divide it by the number of days...

So does yours have 208 as well? Because that's not a lot. It'll be easy if you follow my advice. :D Good luck!

  4. it sounds like you are in desperate need of sparknotes.com! or take out cliff notes from the library, it's what I always did ;)

  5. read those kids picture books, u can read it in 5 minutes
